This will be quick and to the point, because while a lot could be said on this momentous occassion, it doesn’t need to be.

Progress has been made and New York has joined the (small) rank of states that have begun the intelligent and, frankly, inevitable march to the future.  I believe even people who oppose gay marriage can see that their battle will, eventually, be lost.  And if they don’t, they better open their eyes.

To quote Craig Ferguson, “Today is a great day for America.”

Indeed it is.
