WHAT’S 10 CITIES?

Welcome to the personal and professional homepage of Joseph Lyttleton.

In 2005, I set off on a life-changing journey. For 10 Cities/10 Years, I challenged myself to live in a new city every year in order to gain a varied experience, see more of the United States, and maybe pick up some good stories along the way.

On September 1st, 2015, I reached the conclusion of the project, having lived in the US’s most renowned and idiosyncratic cities. In each new home, I experienced America’s diversity as well as its defining homogeneity. The United States is a nation built on differing perspectives and driving passions that still, somehow, breeds a thriving whole, even in the midst of hardship.

From 2005 to 2015, I called these cities home:

Now, I have relocated to Madrid, Spain, where I’m writing, taking photos, and gaining an even broader perspective. To keep you up to date with my ongoing journey, I regularly use Twitter and Instagram, and you will always be able to find me in the pages here.

as well check things out. I like what I see so now i’m following you.

Look forward to looking at your web page again.

    • Haha, uh, I don’t know what to say. It wasn’t so much courageous as it was having nothing else to do. Of course, to follow through with something this involved and complicated, it helps to not have anything to fall back on. There was literally nothing ‘normal’ that I could have done as an alternative that would have been better.

Thanks for checking out the site.
