Chapter VII: It was mid-January and I had returned to familiar territory: jobless and scrambling to put together enough income to make it another month.
My home is where I rest my head at any given time, my home is any stop along I-70 or any town where a friend will share a drink with me. My home is the United States.
My trip consisted primarily of drinking with friends and walking the city. And I walked the city. From the piers to Pioneer Square, from the Square to downtown, up to Capitol Hill and down to Lake Union, and past the Space Needle to get back to Belltown.
My original plan had been for me to leave in the afternoon for Philadelphia, but it quickly became apparent that there was too much to see and do in the District.
